With our system's advanced quality of service (QoS), we identify all bandwidth intensive services and block or throttle them to your desired extent, without impacting the normal web browsing experience. For example, if a passenger were to visit the New York Times website on your existing network, all of the autoplay ads, live updates and animated graphics that exist would drive up data consumption despite the passenger having no interest in these elements of the page. With SkyFox®, we identify and block these elements including updates and tracking tech, to provide the rider with a faster web experience while consuming far less data—in this example almost 50% less.

SkyFox representatives constantly monitor your network to ensure that the system is functioning properly and efficiently, as well as optimizing network security to ensure a secure and encrypted web experience for all of your passengers

You no longer have to deal with system outages or worry about security breaches. SkyFox® maintains a full-time support team to manage any network issues that arise, as well as providing regular network upgrades and solutions to improve the WiFi experience for your customers.
In the limited event that an outage occurs, you merely need to contact our customer support staff and your work is done. Our team will manage and solve the problem whether it lies with the hardware, software, network providers or other, and will notify you of the progress until the issue is fully resolved.
Further, and perhaps equally as important, our SkyFox® team will handle all interactions with your carriers, including billing, rate fluctuations, data overages, network outages and more.
In addition to the standard product benefits, SkyFox® also offers additional amenities to improve your business and generate additional revenue. In some instances, these revenue opportunities can entirely offset the network costs.
What This Means For You
The SkyFox® network provides the option to augment your fleet tracking with GPS-based data on your vehicle locations. Leveraging with the SkyFox® network capabilities, this option will allow you to have access to location-specific data for each vehicle in your fleet.
SkyFox® provides you with the ability to offer your passengers an upgraded WiFi experience, increasing speeds to an average of 1Mb/second—fast enough for live stream viewing. While you may opt to provide this level of service to your passengers at no additional fee, by choosing for the tiered-access functionality, you are able eliminate your entire data cost associated with this usage. With this option, the premium fee will be charged directly to the user at the time of activation and you will receive a credit for any associated data.
ADVERTISING PLATFORM REVENUE
Through its advertising partners, SkyFox® may be able to monetize your network through the sale of sponsorship opportunities. Depending on several factors, your fleet may be able to generate significant advertising revenue, a portion of which would be remitted to you on a monthly basis.
During the summer of 2015 HBO engaged SkyFox®, through our advertising partner, to deliver an industry-first streaming experience for its new HBO Now service to reach the affluent riders of the Hampton Ambassador.
SkyFox® was able to delight to up to 40 passengers with a non-stop HD video streaming experience to launch HBO's newest offering over the span of 120 miles of very diverse terrain across Long Island, New York.
Previous WiFi Experience:
The Hampton Jitney evaluated technologies by Saucon, but primarily operated their own fleet of independent Cradlepoint modems. They maintained their relationship with one cellular carrier accruing thousands of dollars in overage and international roaming charges. Additionally, since the Jitney routes are over 150 miles per, signal drop outs were more frequent which totaled 25% of the user's trip duration.
The Hampton Jitney contracted with SkyFox® to have a one-call- solves-it-all solution. Under our management the modem replacement and maintenance rate has fallen below 1% and with SkyFox’s® advanced content filtering we have achieved a 20% increase in data usage with a 10% year over year cost savings.
